311 Immigrants await the commencement of a ceremony of Naturalization - the culmination of a journey of many years for most of them. Representing 63 countries of origin, these 311 will shortly become American's – a ceremony that is being repeated in cities around the country – the melting pot is becoming more diversified on a daily basis. One of their number is our company president – Greg Hewitt-Long – a native of England (he prefers to refer to his English heritage, rather than being a citizen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain), as I am sure he will tell you if you ask – his family bloodline is as English as English gets – Long being a family name dating back to the longbowmen of the battle of Hasting in 1066 and the last name Hewitt was first found in Dorset where they were seated from very early times and granted lands by Duke William of Normany; their liege Lord, for their distinguished assistance at the Battle of Hastings in 1066 A.D. (OK, that might indicate that Hewitt has a French connection, but we'll conveniently overlook that).
