Web Your Business Inc. is pleased to announce that the first of a new cluster of mailservers came online today. This heralds the first phase of a three-phased project which will completely overhaul our mail handling abilities.
Web your Business clients are asked to read this announcement in full, as it contains essential information for receiving email with this new high security server. If you do not follow the steps listed here, you may have issues trying to send mail.

The new server is located in our Chicago data-center - and will be known as kong.webyourbusiness.net. The name was chosen because we believe that this new machine is a quantum leap for us as a company in terms of mail processing ability - as such, this one machine is (by comparison), a beast of a machine. In the search for a "friendly" monster name - the first name to mind was that of King Kong - the gentle giant ape - who really was benevolent (I think) - so our new mailserver is named kong after king kong!
Just three years ago, Web Your Business opened a computer security division and named it ‘Computer Security Solutions.’ They are now proud to welcome their 10,000th customer with a free year of the antivirus product Nod32.

The lucky 10,000th customer was Richard Williams, a partner at Cabinets on Time, based in Spring, Texas. Richard Williams moved to Nod32 because of its lighter use of computer resources. "I switched to Nod32 over a year ago, because [other antivirus programs] were resource hogs,” said Williams. “Thanks, and you have a great product.”
It has come to our attention that a company who we previously regarded as a relatively innocuous, but somewhat seedy enterprise has now crossed the barriers into something that approaches the lowest levels of depravity. This company is Zango adware - they operated on the margins of the internet business we all encounter, and sell ads to those who don't care about popups and browser hijacking.

In April 2006, this company began making available a "free browser", which seemed fairly harmless at the time. Since that time, it has become clear that this program was designed to take it's users to KIDDY PORN sites. Visiting these kinds of sites can result in accusations of trafficking in CHILD PORNOGRAPHY - charges which would certainly do you no favors, no matter how innocent you might be of any deliberate intent to visit this kind of website.
Dear Valued Customers,

This only affects customers who are using Front Range Internet, Inc (FRII) to collect your emails from our servers.

This is an important announcement regarding your forwarded emails if you use FRII's services.

In the past week, FRII's mail armory system, which is used to check for spam, has been doing some unusual things. At this point in time, we can not guarantee that you will receive your forwarded mails that are sent to FRII accounts.

We recommend that you log into your Control Panel, and change your email settings so that you may collect your email directly from our servers. This will also quicken the receipt of your emails, because it does not have to go through a 3rd party.
Please follow this link to the Control Panel: http://cp.webyourbusiness.com

We have movie tutorials on how to setup your emails on your computer inside out DemoCenter.
Please follow this link to the tutorials: http://democenter.webyourbusiness.net

Please call us at (970) 593-6260, or email our Support Department for any questions regarding this.

Again, we are sorry that this is occurring, but it is out of our hands.

Dear Valued Client,

We are very disappointed to inform you that Microsoft has decided to discontinue FrontPage in late 2006. If you are currently using FrontPage to create and maintain your website, please read this announcement carefully.

What does this mean to you? FrontPage will no longer be available from Microsoft, Web Your Business is forced to terminate support for FrontPage as of December 1, 2006, we are sorry but this is out of our control. Therefore, if you use FrontPage to create or maintain your website(s), you will need to find another solution before December 1st, 2006.

Here are some answers to questions you may have:

1.
Q: Why is Microsoft discontinuing FrontPage?
A: Microsoft is releasing 3 new application building and web authoring tools. Please view Microsoft’s website for more information. Here is a link to the page about these new tools. http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/assistance/HA101205221033.aspx

2.
Q: I don’t know if I use FrontPage, how do I find out?
A: You can find out of you are using FrontPage by logging into your Control Panel. Open your web browser, and browse to the web page: http://cp.webyourbusiness.com. On this page, log into your account. Click on the button ‘Web Options’. Look for a line that says ‘FrontPage Extensions’. If the button to the right of this is the color green, then your website uses FrontPage.

3.
Q: Web Your Business built my website. Was it built in FrontPage?
A: Web Your Business does not use FrontPage. We create your website using custom coding along with other professional grade web tools.

4.
Q: May I continue using my current FrontPage extensions website?
A: No, FrontPage extensions will not be available after December 1, 2006.

5.
Q: Will I be able to keep my FrontPage site if I don’t update it?
A: We are sorry but Web Your Business can not guarantee that your website will continue to work using FrontPage after December 1, 2006. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you discontinue using FrontPage before that date. You will take a risk in having your website not working correctly and you will NOT be able to update your website using FrontPage after December 1, 2006.

6.
Q: Can I continue using FrontPage using the FTP option?
A: Yes, if you use FrontPage with the FTP option, you may be able to keep your website running. Unfortunately, Web Your Business will not be able to guarantee or support this feature because of Microsoft’s decision to discontinue FrontPage.

7.
Q: What programs are available to create websites similar to FrontPage?
A: Low Cost Programs such as, CoffeeCup (http://www.coffeecup.com) or AlleyCode (http://www.alleycode.com) are similar to FrontPage. Other programs such as, Adobe Golive or Adobe Dreamweaver (http://www.adobe.com) are also recommended, but are a bit more costly. These programs can be purchased online. Please view each programs website for more information.

8.
Q: How do I move my website from FrontPage to another program?
A: Please contact your web developer to help you with this. If you don not have a web developer, Web Your Business would be happy to provide you with a quote to do this for you. Please contact us for pricing information.

9.
Q: Can Web Your Business redesign my website without FrontPage?
A: Yes, Web Your Business can transfer your FrontPage site to another program, or we can completely redesign your site. We have many features that allow you to use our easy to use custom tools to make updates to your website easy for you to do in the future. Please contact us for pricing information.

10.
Q: What happens in December if I don’t change my website?
A: On December 1st, 2006, the FrontPage feature will be discontinued on your account. You will not be able to make updates to your website using FrontPage extensions. Your website may still appear to work, but because of Microsoft’s decision, Web Your Business can not guarantee that it will.

11.
Q: Will Web Your Business be adding support for the new Microsoft tools?
A: Currently, there are no plans to add support for these new items from Microsoft. However, please look for updates to this issue on our website http://www.webyourbusiness.com under the ‘Press Releases’ link. As the date approaches, we may have additional information for your regarding the new tools from Microsoft.

Again, we are sorry that we have to terminate support for FrontPage due to Microsoft’s decision. We want you to be aware of this change immediately so that you can make some decisions regarding your website well before the date. We realize that this may cause you inconvenience and unexpected cost that you were not prepared for.

We are here to help, so if you have any questions or concerns, please let us know.
